After I showed you lovely eye lashes (No. 8) Illamasqua gave me as birthday present here, I promised you a look to go with it, and here it is. It’s simple and elegant and I love how this little golden line picks up the whole look.
As far as the lashes goes – they gave this look that oomph. They are pretty big, definitely not for everyday occasions if you like to keep it simple and natural, but I’d recommend them for going out or the time that you really want to draw the attention to your eyes. I’ve heard most Illamasqua lashes have quite stiff spine, but it’s not the case with this pair. I did wrap them around brush to make the application easier but it wasn’t necessary. Lashes really comfortable – I wasn’t aware I was wearing them until I wanted to put my sunglasses on.
If you’re careful with them you can use them up to 10 times, just apply mascara before you put them on, and be careful when taking them off.
Extra tip for taking care of false eye lashes – you can remove mascara off them with any makeup remover, and for removing excess glue that’s left on them you can use either baby oil or, if you’re super handy, trim it off with tiny scissors.
As far as the foundation is concerned I wore Illamasqua Matt primer and Skin Base no. 06. I lightly contoured cheekbones with Illamasqua Pressed Powder no. 325 and put some color to my cheeks using Illamasqua Cream pigment in Androgen.
On lips I’m wearing Chanel lip gloss in Emoi. It’s by far one of my favorite lip glosses. It lasts for hours and feels very comfortable on the lips without drying them. Also, it was a birthday present from my friend (he actually intended to give me one in a different color, but the sales lady gave him this one by mistake – funny thing is – I like this shade better).
