This spring sees the launch of Dahlia Noir L’Eau – she’s the lighter, fresher version of the original. I have been lucky to be given the bottle of L’Eau I have found it to be perfect daytime summer scent.

I have noticed how many people around me have problems when it comes to buying a new camera. There is a whole bunch of specs the companies are babbling about and an average costumer usually understands about 20% of it (came to the percentage by my own estimation). They offer you a variety of technical information that you just don’t know how to interpret. Sure, it sounds great, but what does it all mean? I will try to clear it up a little bit for all of you out there who might have problems with buying a new camera.

„Seriously, Shooting Sisters, what’s going on with you?!“ – I’m guessing that’s something that must have crossing your mind if you stopped by in a past couple of weeks to see if we posted anything new. Well, there’s a whole lot going on as Petra and I started working on a very big project that means (almost) the world to us. Again, we’re creating something new, different and we’re in it with our heart and soul (and some mind, too). I can’t tell you much at this point, but I will share a couple of things with you. After all, you deserve to know what has made us so absent, while you waited here faithfully. This project is neither photography nor makeup related, but it has something to with our common passion – horses! Whether you’re interested in horse riding, love horses or want get a fashion inspiration from the world of equestrians – keep an eye on Cavalier Noir. Now, let’s cut to the point. I’ve been naughty lately and did some shopping in Illamasqua and Clinique – my two beloved brands. I’ve decided to expand my collection of Illamasqua blushes and lipsticks so I chose Magnetism, Resist, Seduce and Nymph. I was lacking pinks on my cheeks and lips hence those particular shades.
Sweat, hard work and weight loss…and we were merely photographing the fitness center. Many hours of preparations, shootings and post processing are behind us now. Iva and I have finished our most recent project – new visual image of Croatian fitness center chain named XXL.
When we took the job, there was only one condition; we don’t want to make cheap slutty photos of steroid eating people. What we aimed for was realistic simplicity that will not make the viewer jealous of models and think of their bodies as elusive.
As I’ve mentioned, I’ve been waiting Beauty Blog Day with excitement for months and I think it’s safe to say that’s how all my colleagues felt (we had massive discussions in our Facebook group on how we’ll dress, what makeup should we do, if waiters will be hot and other topics that should better be left unmentioned in public ). The first Beauty Blog Day Croatia was organized and managed by online beauty magazine Ogledalo. They did such an extraordinary job from the idea to its very execution.
Beauty Blog Day was made taking bloggers interests and needs into consideration, featuring two extremely interesting and useful lectures, series of presentations regarding products and innovations in beauty industry as well as a beauty track where we had the opportunity to talk to the presenters of various beauty companies, learn more about their products and find something interesting for us. After I showed you lovely eye lashes (No. 8) Illamasqua gave me as birthday present here, I promised you a look to go with it, and here it is. It’s simple and elegant and I love how this little golden line picks up the whole look.
From what it looks like, this is going to be an Illamasqua week. We started it by showing you fabulous lashes I got for my birthday, today I’ll be sharing you experience from Beauty School Drop In that was held by Clare Lille, and let me just say we’ll follow the same path in next couple of posts.
After Daniel Sallstrom’s visit in May 2012, Illamasqua Croatia welcomed Clare Lille, School of Make-up Art Educator and member of Illamasqua Art Team. On Sunday she held Beauty School Drop In exclusively for beauty bloggers where she showed us how to do to two different makeup looks and shared a couple of secrets with us. Models were two bloggers – Mara from Voodoo Blonde and Jelena from Babushka’s Suitcase.
Even though I’m 25, I still love birthdays as much as I did when I was just 5. Honestly – I love that day when I’m center of attention and get tons of presents (Narcissistic much? Maybe… ). This birthday was very weird. I worked all day (literally I started at 9 AM and finished up at 11 PM), but it was great! Mom, dad and Petra woke me up at midnight (oddly, I was sleeping) by singing Happy Birthday, we ate delicious cake my mom made and they gave me such a pretty present! My friend at work welcomed me with a mini tart and that had a candle in it, and some yummy cookies. Dario got me the perfume I wanted for a long time, my best friend dropped by to give me a chocolate and a hug, and another one came all the way to my work to see me, congratulate me, and give me gift coupon for my favorite makeup store. At this point you must be wondering what the hell all this has to do with Illamasqua. One of the sweetest calls I got that day was from Davorka, head of PR and marketing at Illamasqua Croatia – she called to wish me happy birthday, and the way she did it was so nice! Also, she told me to come by the store when I find time.
Couple of days later, Petra and I came by to pick up a couple of things and to give girls a big chocolate as a holiday present. I was completely clueless of what is going on but Petra knew all about it – a little black bag had Shooting Sisters written on it and was waiting for me – birthday present from Illamasqua. I was so touched by this gesture – speechless. A while ago I wrote why I love Illamasqua, and this was it – they care for their customers, and they have exquisite way of showing it. Continue reading
